The Ultimate Proposal Space: The Vaulted Cellar at The King’s Head Returns

When The Cotswold Proposal Planners first started up, one of the venues which became particularly popular was The Vaulted Cellar at The Kings Head in Cirencester. With its arched brick walls and rich history, it was no surprise that this became a prime spot to pop the question.

Our journey with this venue first began in 2022, with a gorgeous red carpet set up, adorned with framed photos to tell the couple's love story. From this point on, it became the perfect spot for a show-stopping proposal.

One of the most popular set ups for this space was, and still is, the large light up letters - provided by the wonderful Alana's Love.

Sadly, in 2023, we received news that the space would no longer be available for proposal use. We tirelessly searched for another space that could replicate the unique and vintage charm of The Vaulted Cellar, but had no luck.

However, one day in 2025, we decided to reach out to see whether they had started to take bookings again. Much to our delight, they said yes!

We immediately sent the mood board to a client whose vision fit The Vaulted Cellar perfectly, and the rest is history.

We have absolutely loved being back at The King’s Head. It is such a romantic proposal venue, offering the perfect setting to start your forever together.
